무엇인가
Regeneron Science Talent Search(STS)는 미국 고등학교 졸업반 학생이 혼자 수행한 과학, 수학, 공학 연구 프로젝트를 심사하는 개인전이다. 1942년 Westinghouse Science Talent Search라는 이름으로 시작했고, 지금은 Society for Science가 운영하고 Regeneron이 후원한다. 매년 수백 명을 scholar로 뽑고, 그중 40명을 finalist로 골라 워싱턴 D.C.로 부른다. finalist는 거기서 마지막 심사를 받는다.

What it is
The Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) is an individual competition. Each student submits a science, math, or engineering research project they did on their own, and judges score it. It started in 1942 under the name Westinghouse Science Talent Search. Today the Society for Science runs it and Regeneron sponsors it. Every year a few hundred students are named scholars, and 40 of them become finalists who go to Washington, D.C. for the final round of judging.
For Korean students
A student living in Korea and attending a Korean school will have a hard time entering directly. STS is for U.S. high school seniors, and eligibility includes things like U.S. residency or enrollment at a U.S. school. Students based in Korea at Korean schools usually can't meet that.
